Media Production Show reveals dates, location for 2016 event

Blackmagic Design, Panasonic, JVC, Pinewood Studios and euNetworks are among those to have committed to the next Media Production Show, which will take place at the Business Design Centre in London’s Islington from 9-10 June 2016. The event is designed to provide visitors with a comprehensive overview of the latest business and technological developments influencing media production.

More than 45% of the exhibitor space has been sold in the five months since launch, and the plans for seminars and content are now in full swing, confirm the organisers.

Hannah Fox, senior director, marketing at euNetworks, comments: “Our presence at The Media Production Show provides a valuable platform to share both our network developments and learn more [about] challenges facing companies for the year ahead. The timing of this new event, between NAB and IBC, works well as we continue to promote our high bandwidth and cloud connectivity solution.”

Simon Westland, Blackmagic Design’s director of Sales for EMEA, explains: “We have worked with [show owner/organiser] MBI on previous events, such as the Production & Post Forum, so we know there will be a high-quality seminar programme. But what is also exciting is that our philosophies are aligned: the show will be about creativity and content production, and in essence that is what Blackmagic is about. We are focused on creative production and removing barriers to creativity by providing affordable and readily available solutions.”

Conor Dignam, CEO of (MBI) Media Business Insight, concludes: “MBI is in a unique position to deliver the MPS as a show that will cover the creative sectors of TV, film and commercial production. This will be the biggest single creative media event taking place in London next year, and we’ve already had great support from the industry.

“We’re really excited about the event, including the seminar sessions, and featuring The Broadcast TECH Young Talent Awards too. We looking forward to delivering another insightful event with brilliant content, engaging exhibitors and thousands of high quality delegates.”
