Mobile Viewpoint launches 4K and multi camera-enabled mobile encoder
Agile AirLink 4CK, a portable mobile transmitter, has been launched by Mobile Viewpoint. The product is the latest addition to Mobile Viewpoint’s AirLink family and will be showcased at NAB 2019.

Mobile Viewpoint considers the Agile AirLink 4CK to be the broadcast equivalent of a modern outside broadcast (OB) van, delivering live video content in ultra high definition (UHD) quality.
It can support four live video streams, and delivers the 4K streams using Mobile Viewpoint’s cellular mobile channel bonding technology. It also boasts a thin design, which means it can fit onto the back of a camera or in a backpack.
With Agile AirLink 4CK, broadcasters and content producers can support multi-camera remote production from a motorcycle or car, delivering a truly mobile, live production set up, useful for live news broadcasting and live sports events, the company said.

The Agile AirLink 4CK has four synchronised SDI inputs for live streaming, where the bandwidth of each individual input can be controlled. The solution also has return vision and intercom, acting as a true mobile remote production system. Alongside the SDI inputs, users can also record on an internal, solid-state disk. Agile AirLink 4CK supports both H.265 and H.264 encoding, ensuring a complete end to end compliance using standard-based decoders.
Mobile Viewpoint will be exhibiting its new Agile AirLink 4CK solution, along with its full suite of live production solutions at this year’s NAB Show on stand C3307.
