NAB 2013: never.no set to trend with IS additions

The latest enhancements to never.no’s Interactivity Suite (IS) include new integrations with Instagram and Google+, Sync for multiscreen advertising synchronisation and What’s Trending trend-discovery toolkit.

Sync is a toolkit for syncing ad content and creating robust two-way engagement between the first and second screens. The result, says never.no, is a facility that enables broadcasters and advertisers to benefit from the potential of the second screen for expanding an ad’s reach and power.

Visitors to NAB will also see a demonstration of the never.no Interactivity Suite’s What’s Trending toolkit, comprising trend discovery tools that make it easy for broadcasters to track what’s trending in social media in real time, and comment on or create highly correlated segments on the air.

never.no will also unveil its new integration with Google+, allowing broadcasters to harvest social content in multiple areas of TV programming based on a Google+ user ID or an activity ID. Broadcasters can post an activity and use the resulting comments as part of their story to engage the TV audience and promote viewer participation.

Among other developments, the company will also showcase the integration between Instagram and never.no’s Interactivity Suite – constituting the first real-time integration of Instagram into social TV broadcasters. As a result, broadcasters that use the never.no IS will be able to push and pull data from Instagram into the live programming and companion apps.
