Sport Production Summit 2023: First speakers announced for 14 September Amsterdam event

Representatives from HBS, IMG, Sky Germany and ISB are among the first speakers confirmed for SVG Europe’s Sport Production Summit, sponsored by Panasonic Connect.

Taking place at the De Hallen Studio’s on 14 September 2023, the summit will welcome leaders from across the industry to share recent successes and debate the future of the sector.

In ‘Europe United: Solving sports broadcasting’s big challenges’, an executive-level panel will explore the big challenges that are affecting the way sports content is captured, managed and distributed. Speakers include Alessandro Reitano, SVG Europe Chair and Senior Vice President of Sports Production, Sky Germany; Ursula Romero, Managing Director, International Sports Broadcasting Company; and Carlo De Marchis – Founder, FACTORY63 and Strategic Advisor, Cleng and BuzzMyVideo.

HBS CEO Dan Miodownik and David Shield, SVP Global Director of Engineering & Technology at IMG, will then explore key workflows, tools and operational aspects of the Rugby World Cup.

The final panel of the day – ‘Buying Power: Production and technology trends’ – will see a panel of experts highlight the areas of the business that are currently focussing their attention, shed some light on how these will impact on their purchasing decisions, and give an insight into what they hope (and expect) to find at IBC Show 2023. The first confirmed speaker is Larissa Görner-Meeus, Technology, Broadcast & Infrastructure Chapter Area Lead and CTO at Proximus Media House.

More speakers and sessions to be announced soon.
