Sport Production Summit: Blizzard, ESL, Riot and TV Skyline to discuss eSports

SVG Europe is delighted to announce a session titled Understanding the Technology and Workflows of eSports Production, sponsored by ES Broadcast, for the 12 September Sport Production Summit in Amsterdam.

eSports is an exciting and rapidly growing area of broadcasting that brings with it the complexities of a digital production generated by computers as well as people. With massive audiences for live events, watched globally by millions more viewers over the web, the production of a live eSport events is a learning curve for those from the traditional side of sports broadcasting.

In this masterclass, top executives from the world of eSports explain exactly how an eSports production operates, from technology requirements to the workflow, enabling thousands to watch live and millions more to concurrently experience the game.

The session will be chaired by SVG USA chief editor Jason Dachman and features Simon Eicher, ESL Gaming, director, broadcast eSports services/executive producer; Peter Emminger, Blizzard Entertainment, VP global broadcast; Robert Kis, TV Skyline, managing director; and Mitch Rosenthal, Riot Games, head of production & operations, eSports.

Returning to Amsterdam’s DeLaMar Theater for a third consecutive year, Sport Production Summit is the flagship event in the SVG Europe calendar. Last year’s conference attracted almost 500 delegates.

The 2019 conference will explore current and future sports production and broadcasting trends, covering a range of subjects from virtualised production and eSports to working with a budget and achieving greater workforce diversity.
