SportTech 2016: Connell and Murphy to join Kerschbaumer for Dublin session

Neale Connell, Alston Elliot Chief Commercial Officer and John Murphy, BBC Sport Design Director are the first panellists confirmed to join moderator Ken Kerschbaumer, SVG Editorial Director for the Vizt-sponsored ‘Best Practice in Live Event Graphics 2016’ session at SportTech 2016 in Dublin on May 18.

SVG Europe’s next event will be held at the Aviva Stadium, home to both the Football Association of Ireland and the Irish Rugby Football Union. Title Sponsor for SporTech is Quantum, and we also welcome ChryonHego and Grass Valley as Event Sponsors.

Graphics have never played a more integral role in the production of live sports broadcasts. Networks are increasingly looking to incorporate new technologies, such as player tracking and virtual insertion, into their live production workflow. How can producers identify new technologies that warrant investment, and how does the impending impact of 4K affect operations? Top network and tech-vendor executives discuss the latest issues and opportunities facing the industry today in our ‘Best Practice’ session.

SportTech Europe 2016 marks two firsts for Sports Video Group Europe: our first visit to Ireland for an event, and our first themed summit in the area of graphics production for sports. Our Graphics in Focus sessions cover realtime graphics applications for studio and remote production, augmented reality presentation, live virtual graphics and all-important social media integration.
