SVG Europe’s SportTech 2015: registration now open!

Hot on the heels of a hugely successful edition of its Football Production Summit, held in association with Mediapro in Barcelona last month, SVG Europe has opened registration for its next technology summit. A winning blend of forward-looking panel sessions and illuminating case studies, SportTech 2015 will take place in Manchester, UK, from 6-7 May.

In the most extensive summit programme delivered to date by SVG Europe, attendees will have the chance to participate in tours of two leading MediaCityUK broadcast operations, BBC Sport and dock10, on the afternoon of 6 May.

On the following day, May 7, the SportTech summit itself will take place at the conference facilities of one of the world’s most successful and beloved football clubs – Manchester United. Once again, delegates will be able to enjoy a detailed technical site tour before taking their seats for a characteristically comprehensive schedule of panel sessions and case studies.

A keynote Q&A with BBC Sport director Barbara Slater will set the scene for a programme addressing hot-button topics including: ‘Live Production Over IP: Charting the Transition from Broadband’’; ‘Audio Consoles and the Evolution of OB Facility Design’; ‘Integrated Virtualised Services: A Revolution in Digital Content Production’; and ‘Post-NAB 2015, Can We Define a 4K Roadmap?’. There will also a case study on the Tour de France, as well as a very special treat for rugby fans with an exploration of the broadcasting set-up at the recent 6 Nations tournament and forthcoming Rugby World Cup.
