Synamedia renews Bronze SVG Europe sponsorship

Synamedia has renewed its Bronze sponsorship of SVG Europe.

With ever-increasing demands in sports broadcasting and streaming, the company’s cloud and SaaS flexible solutions for delivering and consuming sports content at scale can be adopted on a case-by-case basis and are easily and speedily deployed to maximise resources, optimise workflows and boost monetisation possibilities.

It is also active in the field of rights protection and offers solutions to minimise latency

Simon Brydon, head of sport – video network, Synamedia, said: “We are pioneers in ultra-low latency as the only provider with end-to-end technologies that minimise latency across the whole delivery ecosystem. We also help the sports ecosystem protect rights with our focus on ContentArmor forensic watermarking and intelligence and consultancy services, and we continue to shine a spotlight on our CSFEyesolution which provides critical insights to turn password sharers and borrowers into paying subscribers.

“Being part of SVG Europe offers us the ideal forum to share and keep key influencers in the sports industry up to speed on fast moving developments, as well as the opportunity to listen and learn from each other.”

Recent highlights for Synamedia include the launch of Quortex Link, the industry’s first pay-as-you-use self-service SaaS distribution platform which creates, manages and schedules live video distribution for sports channels in less time than it takes to break the world 100m sprint record. Meanwhile, its cloud-based distribution running-mate, PowerVu, is tailor-made for secure primary distribution of sports content over satellite or IP networks.

Another recent breakthrough, in partnership with NativeWaves, is an in-stadium experience for sports fans either at home or using their 5G devices on the move or in the stadium. This application lets fans replay key sporting moments – such as injury, overtake, score – from different camera angles and offers enriched live streaming with a choice of viewpoints and real-time stats.

And, in a broadcast TV world first, Synamedia worked with long-term customer beIN so its subscribers can watch two live matches simultaneously on a single screen, alongside delivering other new immersive capabilities for its services in MENA.
