Orad to demo Infuse Chroma Key, Social Media Hub

Orad Hi-Tec Systems, a leader in video and graphic solutions for the broadcast market, will present its new Infuse Chroma Key for the first time at IBC2013 (stand 7.B27). Ideal for any virtual studio or augmented reality production, Infuse boasts broadcast quality results with easy-to-use tools to quickly and precisely adjust both chroma and linear keys, even on the final output. Because Infuse is embedded within Orad’s HDVG+ and HDVG 4 rendering platform, there is no performance degradation.

The feature-rich Infuse user interface is composed of drop down menus, colour picker, adjustment sliders, and other exacting controls designed for quick and precise image manipulation. One Infuse controller can control up to 8 chroma key channels and multiple renderers simultaneously. The combination of keying technologies, including detailed extractions, lets users composite videos and graphics in realtime.

“Designed for a fast and easy setup, Broadcasters can employ Orad’s new Infuse Chroma Key for just about any production. Users need only select a few parameters such as background chroma key colour; adjusting the matte and other elements as needed,” comments Avi Sharir, CEO and President of Orad. “Infuse is an incredibly fast and precise tool for chroma and linear key production.”

Orad also debuted its new Social Media Hub solution. Social Media Hub increases viewer engagement by enabling audiences interact directly with the broadcast via popular social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.

Social Media Hub lets broadcasters collect, filter and distribute user generated social media content alongside programming. The new Social Media Hub solution integrates with existing systems and workflows, allowing staff to quickly step in and easily control and manage social media content. Social Media Hub also pushes Orad-generated content and graphics to social media.

Also on display is the new Suite 7 release of the company’s enterprise graphics solutions: 3Designer, Maestro and 3DPlay, and enhanced Render Engine. Orad Graphics Suite 7 provides the broadcast industry even more robust graphic capabilities than ever before, including much more powerful rendering of graphic scenes, support for ultra HD, and high resolutions for video walls.

“We continue to lead the broadcast graphics market with powerful and efficient solutions. The recent updates to some of our core products enable broadcasters to continue to work in their familiar workflow but with the substantial added value that the updates provide,” comments Sharir.

Feature highlights of the new Suite 7 product updates include 3Designer’s new physics and constraints, value triggers, new transformation modifier, countdown clock, preview window enhancements, animated text effects, and emoticons. The Maestro application adds many workflow features that increase usability and add control to new graphic and video functions, such as the new Graphic Media Asset Management with access rights management, metadata per type of asset, search capabilities, scene management, and more. Other improvements to Maestro include: 3D transitions for every graphic element, support for MOS 2.8.1, multiple preview channels, and more. The 3DPlay application now runs on Windows 7 x 64 bit and offers many new features, including a stronger editor control engine, new query tabs, and other capabilities that make the production process much more efficient.
