BT Sport to broadcast Non-League Finals Day in May
BT Sport will broadcast this season’s Non-League Finals Day on Sunday 21 May, live from Wembley Stadium. The FA Vase Final and FA Trophy Final will take place back-to-back at the home of English football, exclusively live on BT Sport. The finals build on BT Sport’s commitment to non-league football, with coverage continuing of the National League through until the conclusion of promotion play offs.
The semi-finals of the FA Trophy and FA Vase will be held on Saturday 1 April and will determine who will make it through to the finals in May.
The FA Vase is contested by teams playing in Steps 5 and 6 of the English National League System. Newport Pagnell Town, from the United Counties League Premier Division South, are the defending champions after defeating Littlehampton Town 3-0 in the 2022 final. Gary Flinn’s side could become the first team since Whitley Bay in the 2010/11 season to secure back-to-back titles in the competition but will first need to overcome Congleton Town in the semi-finals.
The FA Trophy is open to clubs in the top four levels of the National League System. Bromley beat Wrexham 1-0 in last season’s final to be crowned 2022 champions. Of this year’s semi-finalists, FC Halifax Town are the most recent winners having defeated Grimsby Town 1-0 in 2016, while Gateshead will be hoping to reach their first final in the competition.
