DutchView overhauls with new EVS XT3 server
Netherlands: Dutch multimedia broadcasting company DutchView (the former NOB, Nederlandse Omroepproduktie Bedrijf) is going to acquire five XT3 production servers from EVS in an effort to renew its broadcast and production systems over the next three years.
The former NOB (Nederlandse Omroepproduktie Bedrijf – Dutch Broadcasting Corporation) is going ahead with a three-year plan that involves the purchase of five brand new XT3 production servers along with IPDirector content management software from EVS. DutchView currently runs six fully-equipped outside broadcast vans and fourteen studio facilities for an average of 1500 television productions annually. The new servers will be used for various productions, including live sports broadcasts, concerts, as well as primetime and reality shows.
Herman Julsing, Technical Manager at DutchView: “EVS develops innovative and reliable technology that our clients have come to trust. Our OB vans are currently equipped with LSM-XT2 systems and with the increasing use of tapeless workflows in studios, the XT3-IPDirector platform promises even greater flexibility and the most advanced features for a variety of productions, including 3D, something we put a lot of effort in”.
