Create Share Engage: Last chance to register for 23 May London event

Time is running out to register for Create Share Engage 2024, sponsored by Appear, taking place on 23 May at Kings Place in London. Registration closes on 15 May.

Focusing on creating and distributing sports content, and engaging fans, across social media, streaming and other digital platforms, Create Share Engage features a packed schedule of high-level speakers, along with plenty of time for networking.

Sessions will begin with Caretta Research sharing their latest insight into European sports video consumption across mobile, OTT, streaming and other digital products, before Thomas Schöneich, European Handball Federation, Director of Media & Communications; Callum Baxter, Endeavor Streaming, Senior Sales Director; Malgorzata Borkowska, Media Rights Consultant and Board Advisor, Ekstraklasa; and Eric Black, Edgio, CTO, take part in ‘There’s no I in Stream: State of the Industry’ panel. This will discuss and analyse current trends and emerging opportunities across European sports streaming, social media and mobile.

In ‘Welcome to the Club: How to Win at Fan Engagement’, delegates will gain insight on using audiovisual content to attract the next generation of fans and/or increase participation from World Rugby Chief Marketing & Content Officer James Rothwell; Rob Johnson, Head of Digital & Content – The Hundred, at the England and Wales Cricket Board; and Jose Garnes, British Basketball League, Chief Content Officer.

In addition, Tim Edwards, TikTok, Sports Lead – UKI & Nordics, will discuss the short-form video platform’s relationship and relevance to sport, its audience and its place in the live and on-demand sports market, and Glen Killane, EBU, Executive Director for Sport, will share details of Eurovision Sport, the EBU’s new direct-to-consumer streaming platform for Olympic sports.

Also on the programme, Alexander Mölders, Sky Sport, Director of Concepts & Performance; Katie Matthews, Little Dot Sport, Partnerships Director; and Tim Stott, HBS, Executive Producer Digital, who will take part in a 9:16 content production masterclass. The trio will showcase their work and share best practices when it comes to producing live and on-demand content for mobile, as well as highlighting what works, and what doesn’t.
