Football Summit 2024: FIFA data specialist Sebastian Runge added to speaker line up for 29 February event

How data, graphics and statistics can be used to enhance storytelling will be explored during this month’s Football Summit 2024, sponsored by EVS.

Taking place at The EGG in Brussels on 29 February, Football Summit will welcome Sebastian Runge, FIFA, Head of Football Technology & Data, and Alexander Mölders, Sky Sport, Director of Concepts & Performance, as they consider the best use of tools to aid analysis as well as the ongoing incorporation of VAR and offside tech into on-screen presentations.

They join a whole host of top-level speakers, including Uwe Koenig, Sky Sport Austria, Vice President; Dennis Galejski, DFL, Head of Product Management; and Emili Planas, Mediapro, CTO, who will be delving into the gamification of football; and Lorin Parys, Belgian Pro League CEO; Daniel Monaghan, Ampere Analysis, Research Manager; Robert Klein, IMG, Managing Director, Football, Media; and Nick Moody, Sunset+Vine, Executive Producer/Head of Broadcast, who will be discussing the evolution of media rights.

In addition, Lawo will showcase the incredible audiovisual capabilities within the new Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid while Imagen and Saudi Sports Company will discuss the remote production of the Saudi Pro League.

Also on the bill, David Van Campenhout, Head of Content at the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA), will provide a behind-the-scenes look at how the RBFA has elevated its content management and distribution operations using EVS’ MediaHub.

Sessions will end with Sarah Cheadle, Sky Sports, Senior Football Director, and Serge Bellens, Head of Directors at Telenet Play Sports and Match Director at DPG Media, sharing insights into the craft of live football directing.
