Football Summit 2024: First speakers announced for 29 February event

Speakers from the Belgian Pro League, Sky Sports, and Play Sports are among those slated to appear at Football Summit 2024, sponsored by EVS, which is taking place at The EGG in Brussels on 29 February.

The full-day event will look at how we can continue to augment televised and online coverage of the beautiful game.

Confirmed speakers include Lorin Parys, Belgian Pro League CEO, who will open proceedings with a keynote session. He’ll then be joined by a panel of industry experts to discuss The Rights Revolution and its Impact on Production.

Later in the day, Sarah Cheadle, Senior Football Director, Sky Sports, and Serge Bellens, Head of Directors, Play Sports and Match Director at DPG Media, UEFA, HBS and FIFA, will share how cutting-edge technologies are influencing the direction of live football broadcasts, including a behind-the-scenes look at the decision-making processes, technical considerations, and creative strategies that drive successful live football broadcasts.

Other sessions will explore the gamification of football coverage, how statistics, data and graphics aid the storytelling process, and we’ll go inside the production plans of a European football tournament, with a focus on the technologies, logistics, and creative and editorial decisions that shape coverage of a major tournament. There will also be plenty of opportunities for networking.
