This week’s announcement concerns several venue technology manager positions for England Rugby 2015, the tournament organiser for Rugby World Cup 2015, which is taking place in England from 18 September to 31 October.

Based out of Twickenham, London, and applicable venues around England, the venue technology managers will manage the implementation, operational support and decommissioning of the ICT infrastructure and services across one or more tournament venues.

They will also input to the design and planning phases of the technology delivery. The roles require excellent stakeholder relationship management skills, a demonstrable background in project management in a complex environment, and a very good technical understanding of ICT infrastructure, security and network operations. All technology components are delivered and supported by third parties so candidates will need to have experience in managing sub-contractors to ensure operational excellence is delivered.
