Gravity Media Australia delivers specialist cameras for global coverage of The Hundred

Gravity Media has detailed new camera technology designed and developed in Australia for the global coverage of this year’s The Hundred cricket tournament.

Gravity Media Australia’s Globecam specialist camera unit is providing its HelmetCam to add further depth to the broadcast coverage across all matches in this year’s tournament, which commences in the UK on 1 August. They will be mounted on the helmets of players in both the men’s and women’s tournaments.

The deployment of HelmetCam builds on the role of Gravity Media Australia’s UmpireCam in this year’s Indian Premier League.

Globecam is behind a number of world-first innovations, including specialist in-car camera technologies for the V8 Supercars Championship in Australia, the NetCam tennis solution, which has been used at all four Grand Slams since its launch in 2018, and theLive JockeyCam, which has been beaming horse racing images around Australia since 2019.
