Intel 360 replay technology for two La Liga venues

Camp Nou and Santiago Bernabeu football stadiums in Spain are now equipped with Intel 360-degree replay technology, making La Liga the first European league to have this technology permanently installed at any of its stadiums.

La Liga and Intel Corporation recently held an event at the Camp Nou’s Auditori 1899 space to showcase the Intel 360-degree replay technology that will be in use during the upcoming El Clàsico showdown. Melcior Soler, director of AudioVisual at La Liga, was joined by James Carwana, general manager of Intel’s Sports Group for the ceremony, while FC Barcelona’s Manuel Arroyo performed the hosting duties. La Liga ambassadors Carles Puyol and Fernando Morientes were also present for the press conference.

This Intel 360-degree replay technology creates 3D replays that are designed to offer a spectacular, view of the action. Using the technology, fans and broadcasters can see any play from the game from any angle. This will be the first time the upcoming El Clàsico fixture will use this technology.

This technological innovation will further add to the appeal of what is already one of the most hotly anticipated matches of the season, one that will be broadcast in over 170 countries.
