IP Audio Forum 2024: First speakers announced for 15 February online event

Speakers from Calrec, SSL, and Dolby are among the panel of experts who will be appearing at IP Audio Forum – Discipline and Culture 2024, an online event from SVG Europe taking place on Thursday 15 February at 15:00 (UK time).

The live discussion will focus on IP across two key areas: tracking the transition of IP audio topologies in live production; and IP infrastructure and next-generation audio.

The contributors will be:

  • Pete Walker, Calrec, Senior Product Manager
  • Tom Knowles, Solid State Logic, Director of Product Management
  • Chris Goddard, Broadcast Systems Engineer
  • James Cowdery, Dolby Laboratories, Senior Staff Architect

Expertly guided by our chair, independent consultant Roger Charlesworth, the foursome will talk about the practical implications of IP audio networking in live production. The debate will centre around the long-term implications for all-IP environments and look to answer the question: will we see harmonisation of network practices and standards between plant and local networks, or will the current divergent approaches persist?

The chat will then turn to how ST 2110-enabled plant architecture is empowering HDR and immersive audio, along with object audio enhanced accessibility and personalisation features. The role of ST-2110-41 in the transport of critical serial ADM audio metadata alongside audio and video programme elements will also be explored.
