IPV joins SVG Europe as a Gold sponsor

IPV has joined SVG Europe as a Gold sponsor. Best known for its Curator end-to-end video management platform and remote editing solution, the company is trusted by broadcasters, brands and organisations worldwide.

From a sports perspective, Curator makes it easy to capture, edit and monetise live feeds in real-time so editors can create highlights reels as a game develops, from anywhere in the world. Sports-specific logging and integrations into sports data feeds for accurate and up-to-date game data means editors can find, edit and monetise content immediately or quickly access it in an archive at any time.

Recently announced new features include multi-cam live logging for improved metadata capture upon ingest; mezzanine workflows for streamlined remote production; camera card structure preservation enhancements to include empty folders and mirror what exists on the card; and SpectraLogic/RioBroker integration, which allows the movement of broader data such as tape storage.

Projects include IPV’s work with Kroenke Sports Entertainment (KSE), which opted for Curator to manage the sports network’s assets at the KSE Network Operations Center. IPV also has a long-standing relationship with The Golf Channel, where the focus is on highly accurate tournament data capture and presentation for logging.

Don Browning, senior director of content services at The Golf Channel, said: “A lot of the MAM vendors that we talked to just weren’t as advanced as IPV and didn’t have the ability to ingest the number of sources or have the capacity for the number of metadata fields. With Curator we can include all those fields about each shot and have the capacity to collect, catalogue and publish to our editing tool.”

Other clients include Turner Sports, Altitude Sports, Adidas Runtastic, Seattle Kraken, Arsenal FC, Serie A
and the US Tennis Association.

Mark Fagan, CEO at IPV, said: “At IPV, we’re constantly looking into the future of sports broadcasting and working towards making the creation, storage, access and publication of video and graphic content easier and more efficient than ever before. By doing so, we can unlock new modes of content ROI, create true contextual video experiences at scale, and build the future of global, seamless video communication.”
