Simon Bowler to join SIS LIVE as sales director, OB business
This week SIS LIVE announces the appointment of Simon Bowler as Sales Director of its outside broadcast business, effective as of 1 November. Bowler joins SIS LIVE from Arqiva Outside Broadcasts where he most recently held the role of commercial director, responsible for managing a high-profile portfolio of clients and working to broaden the company’s client list.
Before joining Arqiva, Bowler was technical operations manager at ITV Sport, overseeing high profile contracts such as Formula 1 Grand Prix and the UEFA Champions League. Prior to that he worked on prestigious events such as the 2002 World Cup in Japan; the 2003 Rugby World Cup in Australia and the Euro 2004 Championships in Portugal, as well as the funeral of HM the Queen Mother.
His career in TV started in 1985 when he joined Anglia Television as a sound engineer, moving to BskyB in 1997 and progressing to the role of Production Manager at Sky Sports in 1999.
Bowler will report to Phil Aspden, commercial director at SIS LIVE.

Bowler’s remit is to develop the SIS LIVE OB sales strategy to promote both short and long term growth through new business, whilst maintaining current customers and improving services. He will lead the sales team and account management of key clients to ensure the customer experience with SIS LIVE continues to be exceptional.
