Sony encourages attendees to Live Your Vision at London event

Sony’s London face-to-face roadshow closed yesterday (23 September) after two days of fruitful interactions between solutions, Sony staff, partners and selected customers.

Under the banner Live Your Vision, the event was an opportunity to take stock of the changes that have occurred over the past 18 months. It presented multiple opportunities for conversations around topics such IP, remote and distributed production, image quality and content management. Invitations were limited so as to maintain social distancing and to enable Sony to react to any new developments regarding the pandemic.

The set-up of the event itself reflected the renewed emphasis on hybrid ways of working, with product specialists connecting remotely to demonstrate the latest technologies and developments. In addition, attendees were able to experience physical products such as cameras or switcher consoles, alongside cloud-based interfaces, the new C3 Portal and Sony’s Media Solutions Toolkit.

Beyond the professional aspect of the event, there was a genuine feel of reconnecting, with people coming together to share in person the journey the industry has gone through so far.

“The Twickenham event, beyond presenting Sony with a great opportunity to showcase products and services, created many quality, consultative conversations and exchanges. We’re seeing customers and partners reflect, query and want to investigate the opportunities that lie ahead by working together,” commented Mark Bainbridge, head of media solutions sales, Northern Europe, Sony Professional, Sony Europe.

The Twickenham event kicks off the Live Your Vision autumn programme which will see Sony physical events and webinars run through the autumn, creating opportunities for face-to-face or online conversations, presentations and discussions around the challenges that are top of mind among the industry at this time.
