Sponix Tech supports charity football match for flood victims in Slovenia

Sponix Tech has successfully collaborated with the Football Stars for Flood Victims charity football match, held at Stozice Stadium in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 15 September. This philanthropic initiative, led by Aleksander Čeferin, President of UEFA, aimed to raise funds to support flood survivors in their time of need.

The event was an extraordinary spectacle, combining the power of football and charity to make a real impact on the lives of those affected by the recent devastating floods. Sponix Tech’s involvement signified the virtual advertising specialist’s commitment to leveraging its technology for the greater good.

As part of its involvement, Sponix Tech implemented its cutting-edge virtual advertising technology, including 3D carpets, centre circle displays and digital overlay billboards. With the help of the event organisers and Sport Media Focus group, these solutions significantly extended the global reach and advertising revenue for the charity match organisers, resulting in a substantial increase in donations to support the cause. More than €3.5 million was raised to support flood survivors and rebuild their lives.

One of the standout features of Sponix Tech’s contribution was the provision of separate feeds for broadcasters such as Bein Sports and DAZN. This ensured the charity match reached a global audience, maximising its impact and fundraising potential.

Sponix Tech CEO, Mohammad Ali Abbaspour, emphasised the company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, stating: “This initiative aligns with our core values and represents our corporate social responsibility to use our innovative solutions to give back to communities and charities around the globe. It’s our way of making a positive impact beyond the world of technology.”

The Football Stars for Flood Victims charity match served as a powerful example of how organisations, individuals and the sports community can unite to support a greater cause.
