SVG Europe and Euromedia to host French market summit on 22 March

Sports at 360 logo v2 outlinesThe half-day French-language summit will take place in Paris on 22 March, the day before SVG Europe’s Football Production Summit 2016. Entitled ‘Sports à 360°’, the summit will examine a number of technological and business issues affecting the French sports production industry.

The result of a collaboration between SVG Europe and Euromedia, Sports à 360 will be moderated by Euro Media Group CTO Ronald Meyvisch. Topics to be addressed will include: the practicalities of data capture and how to make the most of data derived from a sports event; the implications and probable business models for emerging virtual reality technologies; the opportunities presented by the new generation of mini-cameras; and the implications for sports events of new electronic tools for referees.

The event will also include a full technical tour of Euromedia’s facility in the Saint Denis area of Paris, as well as a networking dinner at the close of proceedings.

“Working on this event with Euromedia has been extremely rewarding, generating plenty of illumimating insights into the French sports production industry, and we look forward to sharing these with our delegates in Paris on 22 March,” says SVG Europe general manager Joe Hosken.

The event is open only to Platinum sponsors and is the latest in a series of regional events that sees SVG Europe join forces with a local broadcast partner. A successful summit in conjunction with Sky Deutschland took place in 2015, whilst an Italian event is planned for later this year. Conducted entirely in the local language, the events are designed to compliment the core activities of SVG Europe’s pan-European events, including Football Production Summit and FutureSport.
