Blizzard Entertainment is one of the busiest entities in esports. Whether driving the competitions of the Overwatch League or handling productions of BlizzCon, the company’s largest event that promotes its biggest gaming franchises, the calendar is filled with plenty of large-scale events.
At last month’s SVG Summit in New York, SVG associate editor Kristian Hernandez and Pete Emminger, VP, global broadcast, Activision Blizzard Esports, took time to tease the home and away method of this year’s Overwatch League and inaugural Call of Duty League seasons, how the annual BlizzCon production went, what is in the organisation’s plans in 2020, and what could potentially be on the table moving forward.
