V-Nova picks SVG Europe to stay attuned to events in sports broadcasting over 2020

V-Nova has returned to the SVG Europe fold as a Gold Sponsor, stating that there, “has never been a more important time to be attuned with what is happening throughout the broadcast sector”, and that SVG Europe events are able to provide that level of detail.

Commented Guido Meardi, CEO and co-founder of V-Nova: “With workflow evolution and multiple new formats bringing a huge amount of change to video production, there has never been a more important time to be attuned with what is happening throughout the broadcast sector.

“SVG Europe events are renowned for their inclusion of high level presentations and discussions examining the new technologies shaping our industry, and becoming a sponsor means that we will be able to engage with these debates and gain invaluable insights that will help inform our own roadmap in video compression.”

He continued: “The SVG Europe conferences are celebrated for their networking opportunities, and we look forward to making new connections in sports broadcasting. Sponsorship of SVG Europe has consistently proven to be a great move for companies in terms of profile and engagement with sports broadcasting, and so we look forward to the new opportunities that the next year will bring.”

Meardi added: “For V-Nova, the rise in remote production has meant growing traction for our P.Link solution powered by PPro VC-6 as broadcasters strive to deliver low latency and highest quality feeds in an increasingly IP-centric world. Furthermore, our P+ for

MPEG-5 LCEVC enhanced streaming is seeing a wealth of opportunities across live sports distribution to consumers.”

In September this year V-Nova announced a partnership with Aviwest that that will build upon the success of the Media-Telecom Catalyst project, to develop and commercialise groundbreaking products for newsgathering. The products are targeted for release in 2020.
