Quidich unveils Stiqy AR tracking solution

New from Quidich is Stiqy, a proprietary AR tracking solution that offers broadcasters a fresh perspective to visualise various data points, live. The technology combines Quidich’s AR and Player Tracking engines, to deliver real-time, tracked graphics on any existing broadcast camera. The tool will enable viewers to have a deeper, more visual understanding of key tactical decisions such as team formations and field placements, along with insightful player analytics.

Stiqy allows users to isolate a player on any camera feed across any sport, and as they’re moving, append a graphic, traditionally with historical player data, onto them in real-time.

This historical data can include their performances in previous games in a tournament, or during their entire playing career, for example, to put the numbers in context for the viewer by utilising machine learning and artificial intelligence to track players.

It can draw the attention of the viewer to key performance metrics at crucial moments in the game as it is front and centre on the screen for the viewer watching at home. Stiqy also allows broadcasters to append statistics of multiple players in a single frame to highlight specific individual player metrics or even draw comparisons between them.

The technology has already been utilised by the Indian Premier League to highlight live player data such as number of runs and success rate to viewers at home.
