Trickbox TV invests in more 4K equipment

Video production and broadcast services provider Trickbox TV continues to invest in 4K equipment for OB projects and studio work at Tower Bridge TV Studios. The latest purchase includes a Blackmagic URSA 4K camera, which is scheduled for a July delivery, and a GB Labs LTO archive system, which will significantly increase Trickbox’s storage capacity in preparation for more 4K content.

Liam Laminman, managing director, Trickbox TV, says: “This latest investment demonstrates our commitment to our clients, as we respond to their feedback by offering them the latest technologies and the best workflows for their productions. More and more clients are asking for cine-style cameras, and the Blackmagic URSA is a very exciting yet cost-effective piece of kit.” The URSA camera will also be available as part of Trickbox’s hire stock.

Other equipment in this round of investment includes HD monitors, video routers and file-based recorders for location work, and accessories such as cine DSLR lenses and a shoulder rig for Trickbox’s recently purchased Panasonic GH4 camera. The studio equipment at Tower Bridge TV Studios will also benefit from several mini-upgrades including better sound monitoring and analysis. All the equipment will be supplied by CVP.
