Viz Social launches revamped interface and Flowics-backed social capabilities 

Vizrt has unveiled an advanced version of Viz Social. Completely cloud-native and browser-based, it features a Flowics-based interface to provide a more intuitive and improved experience for users. It also offers an advanced suite of integrations with social media and messaging platforms, alongside add-ons such as Twitch and Facebook Live extensions. Users of Viz Social can also incorporate custom data from RSS and JSON feeds.

The modern interface aims to make navigation and content curation easier and more efficient. Users simply connect and begin curating posts from all major social media accounts – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Twitch and WhatsApp – to play out and offer audiences an enhanced experience through high-quality graphics and the inclusion of user generated commentary. Additionally, advanced filters quicken the process of gathering, managing and visualising social media content.

The acquisition of Flowics by Vizrt last year expanded our potential to offer a faster, more efficient and optimised platform for the curation, management and visualisation of social media posts,” said Tehseen Akhtar, deputy global head of product management, Vizrt Group.

Unique interaction mechanics such as ‘Flock-to-Unlock’ enable producers to generate interest around exclusive content which is ‘unlocked’ by reaching a target. Audience scoring and a real-time on-air progress bar further drives audience engagement. These interactive activities offer a distinctive viewing experience and create memorable giveaway opportunities for content creators.

Other advanced capabilities of Viz Social include easy integration with Vizrt graphics workflows (Viz Trio, Viz Pilot Edge); support for a wide range of broadcast graphics engines; hashtag-based polls across multiple social media platforms; audience engagement mechanics; social media counters; and streaming extensions. Rounding off the feature set are analytics for meaningful insights to improve audience attraction and retention.
