FFT Renews Input Media Deal for French Open Support
UK sports production company Input Media are to continue as world feed producers at the French Open tennis grand slam for a further three years. After a competitive tender process, the Fédération Françaisede Tennis (FFT) has retained the London-based independent until 2015 to produce the International Super Signal (ISS) and daily highlights, plus a range of other programming, digital content and technical services. The new contract will extend Input Media’s association with the clay-court grand slam tournament to eight years – they were first commissioned by the FFT to provide production and technical services at Roland Garros in 2008.
Input Media MD, Neil Oughton says the company is thrilled to have once again been awarded this prestigious work, which extends our relationship with Roland Garros for three more years. “The French Open is one of the great annual sporting events and we are proud and privileged to be involved once again, providing top quality production, broadcast and technical services,” says Oughton.
Sandra Gorline, Head of TV Production and Media Operations at the FFT, adds, “We are very happy with this renewed collaboration with Input Media and look forward to some thrilling tennis shows.”
Input Media also produces highlights programming from the Australian Open, are host broadcasters of the WTA’s end of season championships in Istanbul and edit highlights of the Davis Cup and Fed Cup for the International Tennis Federation (ITF). Besides the ISS and Daily Highlights Programme from Roland Garros, Input Media also produce tournament preview and review shows, match highlights and features for web plus content for stadium screens.
Away from tennis, the company also produce coverage of the World Indoor Bowls Championship and England international women’s football for the BBC, along with a variety of live coverage and fast turnaround highlights shows for other international broadcasters, federations and rights holders. These include live coverage and highlights from every round of The FA Cup and England internationals at Wembley, plus UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League content.
