Football Summit 2024: Registration now open for 29 February event in Brussels

Registration is now open for Football Summit 2024, sponsored by EVS, taking place at The EGG in Brussels on 29 February.

The full-day event will look at how we can continue to augment televised and online coverage of the beautiful game. Topics will include the evolution of media rights across Europe and the opportunities and challenges for those in production; the gamification of football coverage; and how the cloud is being used to produce live content.

We’ll also take a look inside the production plans of a European football tournament, with a focus on the technologies, logistics and creative and editorial decisions that shape coverage of a major tournament. A panel of end users and vendors will then explore the use of statistics, data and graphics to aid the storytelling process, considering the best use of tools to aid analysis as well as the ongoing incorporation of VAR and offside tech into on-screen presentations.

Sessions will end with ‘Calling the shots: What directors really want’, giving attendees a deeper understanding of how cutting-edge technologies are influencing the direction of live football broadcasts, with insights into the craft of live football directing and a behind-the-scenes look at the decision-making processes, technical considerations and creative strategies that drive successful live football broadcasts.
