L’Équipe to provide live streaming of the 2023 UCI Track Champions League

L’Équipe is set to stream all five rounds of the 2023 UCI Track Champions League season live across France.

It joins a host of international broadcast partners ahead of the third UCI Track Champions League campaign which commences in Mallorca this Saturday (21 October).

L’Équipe will offer live digital coverage of every round via the free L’Équipe Live streaming service. The agreement was reached with Warner Bros. Discovery Sports, global promoters of the UCI Track Champions League.

The platform offers real-time sports news produced by more than 300 expert journalists with a wide range of live sports, accessible to all: More than 30 sports, 2,800 hours of live coverage including 1,800 exclusives, 150 events and 23 UCI World and European Championships.

Last season the UCI Track Champions League reached 11.4 million viewers in 81 countries across six continents, with millions more fans following the action on the official UCI Track Champions League app and social media channels.

Three French riders – Tom Derache, Quentin Lafargue and Melvin Landerneau – are competing in the 2023 series. Derache has taken part in both previous seasons while Lafargue and Landerneau are making their debuts.

Florian Pavia, series director of the UCI Track Champions League, said: “It’s a pleasure to welcome L’Équipe on board as the latest broadcast partner of the UCI Track Champions League. France has produced some of the world’s best track cycling talents in recent years and we’re delighted that French fans will be able to watch them in action over the five-round series, courtesy of L’Équipe Live.”

Matthias Duchez, head of L’Equipe Live, said: “As a broadcaster of approximately 20 Olympic sports in the run-up to Paris 2024, the L’Equipe group is delighted to be adding the UCI Champions League to its catalogue. The French riders will be in the spotlight over the five-round series, just a few months before they compete in their home Games at the Vélodrome National in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines. Round 3 of the UCI Track Champions League, which is being held at that same venue on Saturday 4 November, will be a landmark event in front of a magnificent crowd.”

TV and streaming coverage will also be available in Eurosport in France.
