NewTek Hails ‘Excellent Response’ to Portability-Prioritising 3Play Mini

Designed for maximum portability and ease-of-use, the NewTek 3Play Mini lightweight sports production suite was always destined to find favour with people trying to produce smaller shows and content on compact budgets. And so it has proven, with NewTek product marketing associate Jason Pruett highlighting the “excellent response to the system from schools, colleges and entry-level [applications]… it is clear they recognise the 3Play Mini’s ability to deliver great results quickly in a portable [form factor].”

Described by NewTek as “the only sports production suite you can carry anywhere”, the 3Play Mini’s feature-set includes extensive replay and review capabilities, comprehensive media publishing, high-quality visuals, highlights editing, tablet operation capability, side-by-side playback, game clock overlay, automatic colour matching, and flexible output.

With 3Play Mini, broadcasters deploying up to four “off-the-shelf HDMI cameras can produce multiple angle slow motion instant cameras, edit highlights, roll stored video packages, create effects and transitions, publish to social media and more,” says Pruett, who also notes the availability of an optional control surface.

In addition, Pruett highlights the NAB launch of TriCaster Advanced Edition, an option available for TriCaster Mini through TriCaster 8000 that is said to be capable of “elevating productions to new heights of connectivity, creative and efficiency.”

To this end, the option sports more than 60 new capabilities and enhancements geared towards multiplying audiences, streamlining repetitive tasks, and more.
