QSL and Sponix Tech pioneer first football league remote virtual advertising with extended shots

Sponix Tech has successfully implemented the first-ever remote virtual advertising services in a league game with extended shots of main and offside cameras. The historic clash between Al Duhail and Al Ahli on 21 December 2023 represents a landmark achievement for the Qatar Stars League (QSL) and sets a new global precedent in sports broadcasting.

With this initiative, Sponix Tech, in collaboration with Al Kass and QSL, has achieved a significant technological breakthrough by introducing the world’s first-ever virtual advertising in a league game using main camera and also offside camera shots. This carbon-neutral and green technology innovation marks a monumental achievement for Qatar in the global sports industry.

This innovative approach to integrating offside camera shots into digital overlay advertisements on billboards guarantees enhanced and consistent advertisement visibility during pivotal moments such as goal replays and video highlights. This consistent exposure significantly elevates the commercial appeal of the promoted brands.

At the stadium, static printed billboards were transformed into dynamic, interactive LED displays by Sponix Tech’s technology. This was complemented by the introduction of 3D carpet and centre-circle advertisements, substantially enhancing the inventories for QSL.

This pioneering initiative by QSL and Sponix Tech represents a significant advancement in elevating the commercial value of sports sponsorships in the Middle East.
