Snell Sirius 830 router for EVP HD OB unit

Snell has announced that Switzerland-based independent production company EVP has added a Sirius 830 advanced router to its complement of Snell equipment onboard HD-10, the company’s new HD OB vehicle. The Sirius 830 router switches all audio and video inputs and outputs for the new truck, which also includes a range of modules from the Snell IQ Modular broadcast infrastructure line to support distribution, ARC, and up/downconversion. Swiss distributor Visuals Switzerland SARL provided installation for the Snell equipment.

“As we have relied on Snell products for more than 25 years, we have complete confidence in their reliability and their consistently high-quality broadcast output,” said L.P. Roger, founder and owner, EVP. “We think of the Sirius 830 as the heart of Unit HD-10, which is playing an important role in our efforts to extend market share throughout Switzerland and Europe..”

Replacing EVP’s previous 10-camera truck, HD-10 is a 12-camera, mid-sized OB unit designed for coverage of a wide range of live events including sports, conferences, and concerts. The Sirius 830 is configured for 288 inputs and outputs.

“Sirius 830 is the ideal solution to provide the robust, no-compromise functionality EVP needs to drive its OB operations,” said Stefan Geradts, Snell sales director, Central and Eastern Europe. “As one of Europe’s most respected production companies, EVP places a high value on innovation and leading-edge technologies. We value our long-term partnership and look forward to meeting EVP’s needs into the future.”
