SVG Europe Audio announces the Immersive Audio Forum – Look Back at Qatar taking place on 26 April

SVG Europe Audio has announced its first online event of 2023, the Immersive Audio Forum – Look Back at Qatar.

Join respected sound designer, mixer, consultant, and educator Felix Krückels for an in-depth exploration of sound design and production for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

In this live interactive virtual event, which will take place on 26 April at 3pm (UK time) on Zoom, Krückels will lead us through the evolution of 5.1.4 immersive audio leading up to Qatar 2022, and will share key developments in 3D microphone techniques and equipment along the way.

He will also discuss how the philosophy of creating immersive audio experiences goes beyond surround formats to encompass every aspect of audio that brings the viewer at home closer to the excitement of the game.

We will also be joined by HBS engineering manager, Nicolas Brie, who will discuss the development of HBS’s massive IP audio network for Qatar. Brie will share the challenges of creating a robust network capable of seamlessly linking the entire production footprint across multiple venues and facilities. We will explore how these capabilities were leveraged to save time, increase efficiency and flexibility, while offering mixers and rights holder the maximum selection of creative possibilities.

SVG Europe Audio’s Immersive Audio Forum – Look Back at Qatar will take place on 26 April 2023 at 3pm (UK time). We will be in session for approximately 90 minutes, during which the audience will be encouraged to participate in the discussion, which will take place on a Zoom Meeting.
