Vinten delivers Osprey pedestals to new studios at the University of Copenhagen

Vinten has supplied its pedestals to the University of Copenhagen, one of the largest institutions of research and education in the Nordic countries. The equipment has been selected for three brand new multi-purpose studios at the university’s Faculty of Humanities. Three of Vinten’s Osprey pedestals are being installed in the newly constructed studios which will be used for a range of applications by both students and employees — from TV training for the university’s scientists, to filming in house commercials and promotional videos highlighting the latest educational opportunities.

Vinten’s Osprey Light pedestals were designed for the growing number of smaller studios that require a lightweight pedestal which does not compromise the quality of on shot movement. The single stage pedestal has a 40kg/88.2lbs capacity, with crabbing base capability, and an on-shot stroke of 54 cm/ 21.2″, with the addition of a sophisticated wheel braking mechanism to eliminate the flat spots on the tire that can ruin a rolling shot.

More than 50,000 students and employees attend the University of Copenhagen and the site is home to some of country’s most modern facilities, with the latest high performing equipment from the industry’s leading brands. The university has been using Vinten pedestals for the last two decades and selected the company’s latest range due to the longevity of the products.
