Create Share Engage 2024: First speakers announced for 23 May event in London

Speakers from TikTok, Eurovision Sport, and Ampere Analysis will share their knowledge and expertise during SVG Europe’s Create Share Engage 2024 which is taking place in London on 23 May.

Sponsored by Appear, Create Share Engage is a one-day event for sports federations, leagues, associations, clubs and other rights owners, as well as broadcasters, agencies and producers, that will focus on creating and distributing sports content, and engaging fans, across social media, streaming and other digital platforms.

In a special fireside chat, Sanjit Sarkar, TikTok Strategic Partner Manager, Sport will discuss the short-form video platform’s relationship and relevance to sport, its audience and its place in the live and on-demand sports market, and share best practices for content creation.

Also on the bill, Glen Killane, executive director for sport at the EBU, will talk through Eurovision Sport, the EBU’s new direct-to-consumer streaming platform for Olympic sports. Killane will reveal the origins of the service, its purpose, how it fits into the wider media strategies for the various associations and federations involved, and where it and sports streaming might go next.

Ampere Analysis will start the day with a data research presentation covering European sports video consumption across mobile, OTT, streaming and other digital products, outlining both where we are now and how it could look in the coming years.

The event will also include sessions on 9:16 content production, clipping and highlights creation, fan engagement, and interactivity for live digital sports.

More speakers will be announced in the coming weeks. The day will also include plenty of networking opportunities.
