Sports Job of the Week: Social Media Manager, Limelight Sports

Every week, through a freshly-minted collaboration with Global Sports Jobs, SVG Europe brings you details of one highly sought-after position in the international sports broadcast technology field. This week, Central London-based Limelight Sports is in need of a full-time social media manager.

This role will see the successful candidate help to create, lead and implement social media strategies for Limelight Sports and its clients. The social media manager will be part of the marketing team working across multiple clients and projects. They will be tasked with delivering the best possible social media campaigns around some of the leading sports participation properties in the UK, as well as working in conjunction with Limelight’s international teams. They will build high levels of engagement with event participants and use social channels to increase reach/brand awareness of Limelight Sports participation events.

The successful candidate will have: 3-5 years’ proven experience in a social role within an agency or consumer brand environment; strong understanding of the digital landscape and how it can be used to develop and grow brands/campaigns; extensive knowledge of, and interest in brand activity in the social and digital arena; proficiency in use of tracking and reporting tools; understanding of how content can be used to engage via social channels; understanding of the latest developments across the major social platforms and how they can be applied to achieve brand objectives.
